1. Set your budget

Take a look at how much you are willing to pay for the rent. If you are not sure, you may want to follow the rule not to exceed 30 % of your monthly income. Your budget may narrow your choices. You may have to compromise on some factors when choosing a right apartment, but it is necessary for you in the long run.
2. Ask questions

Ask a lot of questions relating to your benefits. Luckily, you won't be taxed for asking questions and the landlord won't eat you for asking him or her some questions. Therefore, create a list of questions that matter to you. It will guarantee that you won't regret when choosing an apartment because you already know the place you want to rent by getting the answer for the landlord.

3. Get your potential neighbors coffee.

7. Security

Is this neighborhood safe? And how about the place you rent? Some apartments have fingerprint checked when you use the elevators to make sure that the strangers can't get into the apartments. Maybe you don't have to be that careful but ask your neighbors about the security.
8. If you have to sign, you have to read

You should have a copy of the contract and go through it. Don't understand some terms? Just ask for explanation or you will break the rules.You can also negotiate with the landlord. Let's him or her hear your beautiful voice.
